We beg to call attention of the students to the state of the Cricket Field. Now that the season is approaching, it is time for those taking any interest in this game to be up and doing; and there is plenty to do. The fences are down in many places, allowing cattle to wonder in numbers, unrestrained, over the ground. Now this should not be, and those whose duty it is will find that they have their hands full when they attempt to get the field at all smooth. Considerable rolling and pounding is necessary before it will be fit for use. The sooner this be taken in hand the better. We should advise that the rolling of the ground be undertaken as soon as the frost gets out of the ground, while it is still soft and consequently more easily managed. The sooner the fences are put up the less work will have to be done when the time comes.
