Sandy Julien and Raymond Cope:
Retired Mi’kmaq elders display a "Square Saw"
used to shape one-piece hockey sticks from
hard wood tree roots and trunks by native carvers.
These men both made their own protective equipment
from Moose Hides in the early years
of their prolonged hockey careers.
